Why Choose Sandy Creek

Rhinestone

In your search for the perfect puppy, keep in mind that you are making about a 15 year commitment. Thatís a long time, especially if your new purchase is less than desirable or not quite what you were expecting. Remember that cute little puppy is going to turn into a dog. What ever breed of dog you maybe looking for, do your research first. Go on-line, talk to reputable breeders, attend a few dog shows, talk to people who already own the kind of dog you are interested in. Do anything you have to in order to make an informed decision. There are so many dogs and puppies that end up in shelters unwanted, or worse, because someone made an impulsive decision.

Buying a puppy is an investment. We know there are less expensive puppies on the market today and we also know the reason why. All of SANDY CREEK puppies are raised as though this is their forever home. A lot of time and care goes into each and every puppy. We make sure that their foundation is a strong one both inside and out. There are many building blocks to raising good litters. Whether you want a dog for obedience, agility, show/breeding or maybe you just want a good companion we raise happy, healthy, well-adjusted puppies so you can truly enjoy your dog for years to come.

AT SANDY CREEK the puppies are whelped in the house and stay there until they leave us. They live in a clean environment Their area is sanitized several times daily. At 4 Ĺ weeks we start crate training. It takes me 1 week to get them trained. So they are well on their way to the beginning of house training.

AT SANDY CREEK our puppies follow a progressive program. We use Pat Hastingís Puppy Development to maximize socialization. There are age appropriate exercises that are done to the puppies each day. There are things that need to happen, and in some cases not happen, depending on their age to ensure proper socialization. Research has shown that early neurological stimulation will have important and lasting effects on puppies. Puppies not handled during this very important time will miss out on the benefits. It is so important that a breeder take full advantage of this 8 week time frame. If they donít, the window of opportunity is gone, and you can not get it back. We also have three sons and A LOT of extended family who handle the puppies every day. My house is a favorite. Everyone wants to come and play with the puppies. To order Pat Hastingís books go to http://WWW.DOGFOLK.COM. All of her books are a great read.

AT SANDY CREEK we will not restrain from the best quality care possible. For starters we only use a top of the line dog food. You can go on our home page and rate your own dog food. What you feed your dog today will effect generations to. Along with that we feed NuVet Plus Supplements, which has been one of the best things I have ever done for my dogs. There are 50 major diseases caused by free radicals. Unfortunately these diseases lead to suffering and premature death in our pets. The veterinarians, physicians, pharmacists, and nutritional scientists of Nu Vet Labs have spent 8 years blending the precise combination of human grade, natural vitamins, minerals, herbs, antioxidants, bioflavonoids, fatty acids and amino acids proven to combat the ravages of free radicals and to provide immune system support .If you would like to know more about this wonderful product, or want to order it for your own pets go to my home page under NUTRITION.

AT SANDY CREEK AUSSIES all of our dogs are on a rigorous vaccination, heartworm, and monthly wormer program. We feel prevention is the key. Maintaining our dogs to be in the best physical and mental condition possible is important to us. It's less expensive for us to maintain their health, rather than taking them to the vet after they are sick. I would rather spend my money on prevention. We love our companions, and want to enhance their quality of life and increase their longevity, because they give so much to us.

AT SANDY CREEK AUSSIES all of our dogs have received a passing rating on their hips from the ORTHOPEDIC FOUNDATION FOR ANIMALS. And a normal reading from the CANINE EYE REGISTRATION FOUNDATION.

AT SANDY CREEK when our puppies are 3 days either side of 8 weeks of age they go through an evaluation. This is an extensive process. Puppies are evaluated for good temperaments, structural soundness, genetic integrity, and type. Only the exceptional puppies will be evaluated as a show/breeding dog. The others will go on as ambassadors for their breed.

AT SANDY CREEK AUSSIES once you have purchased a puppy from us you are a part of the family. We are always here to lend support to our adoptive owners. We want you to truly enjoy your new companion. And don't forget we love to hear how you are doing along your journey. And don't forget to send me pictures !!
